Swimming Pool Details

Its a great time of year to be thinking about swimming pools. The upcoming 4th of July holiday and some fantastic weather has kept our company busy preparing several poolscapes for the best months of summer. I recently photographed a pool wall that we designed and constructed several years ago that has a very simple and interesting detail. This particular pool takes advantage of a gentle slope in the rear yard. The views from the house demanded less hardscape yet did not require the “infinity edge” approach. We captured a fantastic curvilinear line within the gunite shell, provided a hand selected ashlar granite veneer and capped it with a custom granite coping. The look is simple and attractive while functioning as a bench seat on two sides. Built-in seating around any pool has great value both for the party gathering and aesthetic details.
