Front Entry Renovation

Posted by: admin    Tags:      Posted date:  September 8, 2011

The front entry to your home is your first impression.  They can be designed with style or they can be clean and simple. Simplicity in material selection and uniformity in plant materials help draw focus to your architecture and to your front door. The posted image is a before and after of a common landscape application. A paved walkway to wooden steps. Functional yet boring. The pitches are uncomfortable and provide no sense of arrival.  We applied a three step separation at the street with pronounced granite accents, minimal lighting for function and a slight planting accent. Random rectangular bluestone meets the front door with three custom split granite stairs in a dark grey to contrast the front door. We provided a small planter and specimen tree to help accent/counterbalance the entrance. From small and forgettable to pronounced and desireable.  Give us a call and we can help you with your front entry.
