Front Entry Renovation

The front entry to your home is your first impression.  They can be designed with style or they can be clean and simple. Simplicity in material selection and uniformity in plant materials help draw focus to your architecture and to your front door. The posted image is a before and after of a common landscape application. A paved walkway to wooden steps. Functional yet boring. Swimming Pool Details

Its a great time of year to be thinking about swimming pools. The upcoming 4th of July holiday and some fantastic weather has kept our company busy preparing several poolscapes for the best months of summer. I recently photographed a pool wall that we designed and constructed several years ago that has a very simple and interesting detail. This particular pool takes advantage of a gentle slope in the rear yard. The views from the house demanded less hardscape yet did not require the "infinity edge" approach. Arrangements in White

In a recent project Paul was able to capture an interesting arrangement of whites in a very difficult planting space. The plant material shown accents a small corner in a much larger landscape. The bed location was pinched between an outdoor kitchen, boulder arrangement, stone walkway and retaining wall. This was all part of a complex outdoor living space placed within the confines of a coastal setback. We were heavily protected from the winds however our soil depths were not as deep as we would like them. We chose Hydrangea anomala ssp. petiolaris (Climbing Hydrangea) for it's white lacecap...
